Roy Benjamin Clarke, 68, of Mifflintown, returns home on Sunday, November 14, 2021, to be with our Lord and Savior.

He was born in Lewistown on October 1, 1953.

He and his wife Catherine S. "Cathy" (Hockenbrock) Clarke, who had been in love for 28 years, were married on October 2, 1993. Her daughter Jennifer (Maize) Zorn, husband Greg and their two children are alive in Williams, New York. Aiden and Audrey of Weir; daughter Robin Michelle Clarke, brother Guy M. Clarke and wife Shirley, and their three children Eric, Aaron and Guy Jr. are from York, and their brother, Douglas Stewart of New Cumberland.

Before his death, his mother Joyce (Porter) Stewart; a son, Andrew Lee Clark; and a brother, Michael Clark.

He graduated from Chief Logan High School in 1972.

He joined the US Army voluntarily in 1972 and proudly served the country for three years.

Roy has worked in many jobs throughout his life, including Red Ball Movers, Fruehauf and Overhead Door, where he was a photographer when the truck was loaded. He also worked as a repairman, dishwasher and kitchen helper for Stop 35 and Red Zone, and was a delivery man for Fox's Pizza.

He likes to repair furniture and take care of his home and lawn in his free time. Roy is an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins and Pennsylvania State University, and a racing fan of Dale Earnhart Sr. and Dale Jr..

His funeral will be held at Guss Funeral Home Inc., 20 South Third Street, Mifflintown, at 10:30 am on Saturday, November 20, and will be hosted by Pastor Donald Walters. The burial will follow the services of East Salem Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 am to Saturday during the service hours of the funeral home.
